Marcelo Pelleriti, Senior Wine Advisor
Marcelo Pelleriti, Algodon’s accomplished senior wine consultant, is the first Argentine winemaker to receive 100 Points from wine critic Robert Parker for a Bordeaux wine, along with several other scores in the high 90s. Mr Pelleriti was voted “Winemaker of the Year” by Cuisine & Vins magazine’s Argentine readership in 2011.
Mauro Nosenzo, Winemaker
Mr. Nosenzo is a brilliant young winemaker who, since 2007, has managed Algodon Wine’s elaboration process from the moment our grapes are handpicked to the time our wine is bottled. Mr. Nosenzo previously served as winemaker for the acclaimed Roca S.A. Winery for over twelve years.
Anthony Foster, Master of Wine, Senior Wine Advisor
With over 40 years in the wine industry, Mr. Foster was granted the title of Master of Wine in 1974 after passing the most arduous four day tasting and theoretical qualification in the industry. He was largely responsible for making the Masters of Wine qualification international when he served as Chairman of the Institute in 1987. Mr. Foster is an acknowledged wine taster, and chairs a number of tasting panels around the world.
James Galtieri, Senior Wine Advisor
Mr. Galtieri has a considerable background in wine knowledge and wine market dynamics, with over 25 years’ experience as a wine importer and distributor, and 15 years as a successful fine wine & spirit retailer. He is the current President/CEO at Seaview Imports LLC., a U.S. wine importer managing exclusive wine brands, and he previously served as Founding Partner and President/CEO of the renowned Pasternak Wine Imports, founded in 1988 in partnership with Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite).
Jorge Arenas, Agronomical Engineer
Mr. Arenas has worked for the estate since 2001, when the project was still a just vision, and has played a significant role in its development. Born and raised in Mendoza, he received his degree from the Agronomy Department at the National University of Cuyo. Mr. Arenas’ technical knowledge of wine production plays a fundamental role in the quality and evolution of Algodon’s vineyards and wines.
Ignacio Goldin, Wine Sales & Wine Marketing Manager
Mr. Goldin is responsible for implementing wine sales and wine marketing strategies and brand positioning within the Argentine Provinces, and for managing Public and Media Relations for Algodon Wines in Argentina. He is a professional Sommelier and Professor at the CAVE instituto de Sommelier, and he holds a Masters in Wine Sales and Marketing.
