The German company Siemens has announced that it expects to create 6,000 jobs in Argentina through the investments it is making in new projects in the South American country.

According to an official statement by the Argentine government, the head of Siemens, Joe Kaeser, met Thursday with President Mauricio Macri at the Casa Rosada, where the executive broke the news about the investments.

"Siemens' commitment to Argentina responds to our country's plan to attract new international investments," Production Minister Francisco Cabrera told a press conference later at the seat of government.
